E-Bike Rental Terms & Conditions

Security Deposit:

• A refundable security deposit of $200 is required at the time of rental. This deposit will be held to cover any potential damages, loss, or late returns of the e-bike.

Identification and Payment:

• Renters must provide a valid government-issued photo ID and a credit card in their name. The credit card will be used for the security deposit hold and any other charges incurred during the rental period.

Deposit Refund Conditions:

• The security deposit will be fully refunded within 24 hours after the e-bike is returned, provided the bike is in the same condition as when rented, allowing for normal wear and tear.
• The security deposit may be partially withheld to cover damages or repairs needed beyond normal wear and tear. If the repair costs exceed the deposit amount, the renter will be billed for the excess.

Damage Responsibility:

• Renters are responsible for any damages to the e-bike during the rental period. A detailed inspection will be conducted both before and after the rental to assess any new damage.

Late Return Penalties:

• E-bikes returned after the agreed-upon rental period may incur additional rental charges and/or forfeiture of part or all of the security deposit. Specific fees include $25 for each hour the bike is returned late.

Loss or Theft:

• The renter must report any theft or loss of the e-bike immediately to Beltline Biking and local authorities. The renter is responsible for the full replacement cost of the e-bike, which will be offset by the security deposit.

Safety and Usage Guidelines:

• Renters agree to use the e-bike in a safe and conscientious manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Hazardous or unsafe use of the e-bike may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement without a refund.

Cancellation Policy:

• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled rental time will receive a full refund of the security deposit. Cancellations made within 48 hours will result in a forfeiture of 50% of the security deposit.
